The Community Outreach and Extension Programmes (COEP)
Consequently, COEP serves a critical function in the University’s mission of providing quality education and training through knowledge, skills and other resources to improve the quality of life for individuals, families, and the society at large.
Our Programmes and activities are designed to be relevant to the community by reflecting current societal needs.

- Conduct needs assessment on communities to identify their needs and available resources for evidence based interventions.
- To work with and facilitate the University community in identifying, developing and implementing community outreach projects.
- To develop partnerships for Community Outreach and Extension projects to benefit the community and the University.
- To mobilize resources from the University community to mitigate against national crisis by addressing some of the arising basic human needs.
